We at Bear Foot Honey Farm have over fifteen different varieties, and often introduce new varieties to tempt your pallet. From delicate and fragrant to full-bodied and robust, our honeys will dance seductively on your tongue. Our hive management is chemical-free, which allows you to taste honey that has the pure color, flavor, and texture cultivated by the varieties of pollens and nectars that our bees forage. We retain these qualities and all the nutrients the bees put in by making sure that our honey is never strained, never filtered, and never heat treated. Honey can be easily compared to wine owing to the vast varieties available and its sophistication. Bear Foot Honey’s ambition is to bring to you pure, natural honey as nature intended: absolutely unfiltered and unprocessed, still containing bees’ nectar, pollen, live enzymes and all the goodness of the hive.
Our honey is harvested from our hives that have been purposefully placed in fields of lavender, blackberry, star thistle, clover, raspberry, blueberries or wildflower, or groves of apples, oranges, or chestnuts, to name but a few. Then we use centrifugal force to extract the honey from the frames, allowing us to present some of the finest honeys that our family has been producing for three generations.
